April 21, 2020: Our latest work, published in Physics of Fluids, investigates the effect of pulsatile flow on recirculation downstream of an idealized stenosis model. By tracking individual fluid parcels and measuring their path-dependent Particle Residence Time (PRT), it is revealed that increasing the frequency and amplitude of pulsation each promotes mixing and result in significantly increased PRT.
